Why Therapy

Scientifically and anecdotally, psychotherapy helps. Whether it is sharing an emotional burden, understanding one’s dilemma more clearly, being able to see a new perspective, allowing for acceptance and forgiveness of oneself and others for our actions, and even learning specific strategies and techniques to assuage and cope with emotional symptoms- these are all part of this therapist’s skill set.

What Happens Next

After you contact me, via phone or contact form, we will set up an initial appointment. In this discussion, we will set up a mutually agreed treatment plan based on your needs and goals. This plan is flexible and can be adjusted as we progress.

Why Neuro-psychological Testing

Understanding how one’s brain works (thinking, learning, processing, comprehending, organizing, remembering, expressing, focusing, feeling) is beneficial for all of us, as is having an owner’s manual to your car. When your brain presents with more specific challenges (neurodevelopmental or trauma), understanding your specific constellation of strengths and weaknesses will provide clarity, tools, and accommodations to better meet one’s goals.

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (almost all plans) and private pay.
